Circle Concrete Tech awarded NSF Phase I SBIR

Circle Concrete Tech is pleased to announce that we have been awarded an EPA SBIR Phase I project titled “Plient Engineered Recycled Steel Fibers as Cheaper, Faster, Safer Concrete Reinforcement”. Through years of development, the Circle Concrete Tech team has identified the need for a robust Plient fiber design tool to identify the required fiber dosage for a given application. This NSF-funded project will enable the development of dataset of Plient fiber performance data through a subaward to Texas State University. The database will be used in conjunction with available fiber performance data to generate a machine learning (ML) based design tool. The Circle Concrete Tech team is confident that this award will be critical in driving Plient fibers towards commercialization. The results will provide valuable tools to help future Plient costumers construct safer, cheaper, and more sustainable projects!
